MATT MESSENGER
Founder / Instructor
Matt Messenger is an Award Winning Visual Communicator, and Instructor. Matt holds an M.A. in Communication Management as well as a B.A in Radio / Television production with a minor in Cinema Studies. Over the years, Matt has worked in all aspects of the production. Some of his clients have included ABC, PBS, AAA, as well as many other clients. For eight years Matt taught all aspects of video production at the college level. In 2011, Matt was chosen to travel to China to create a documentary on the study aboard program at Valencia College. Matt specializes in production, broadcast engineering, marketing, branding, and strategic communications. Matt was nominated in 2012 for a Suncoast Emmy Award for a promotional video he created that featured the Digital Media Department at Valencia. Matt spent three years at the Instructional Television and Programing Manager for the School District of Manatee County. In January of 2018 Matt was promoted to Supervisor of the Television Services department. In this role, Matt oversees a small team and the School Districts 24/7 cable channel.
BOB GIGUERE
Instructor
Bob Giguere is an award-winning Producer with over 30 years of television experience, including documentary and current events programming. He has won numerous Emmy awards for his social & environmental documentary work. His credits include nationally distributed programs: The National Parent Quiz, Releasing Dolphins, The Rock & Treating Addiction for PBS, Diving Deep for National Geographic Explorer &, most recently, In Marjorie’s Wake for Equinox Documentaries.Bob is an avid Scuba Diver for over 27 years with certifications from YMCA, NAUI, NOAA & NSS-CDS, & NACD. His dive experiences are varied from the cold depths of the Gulf of Maine to the warm waters of the Caribbean. His cave diving exploits have included cave systems of Florida, Mexico and Bermuda.Bob served as Executive Producer, Producer and Underwater Videographer for award-winning bGenesis projects, In Search of Xanadu, Conch Cowboys & Wekiva: Legacy or Loss?. His latest documentary, In Marjorie’s Wake is currently released nationally via PBS. His directing resume includes numerous PBS shows, a Firefighter Instructional DVD series , National Geographic actuality program development & a Christian film on creation care, Our Father’s World. His videography resume includes programs for PBS, Starz TV, National Geographic, Discovery Channel Online and the Women’s Entertainment Network. He currently runs his own production company, B Genesis, LLC in Orlando, is the co-founder of non-profit Equinox Documentaries, Inc. and an adjunct professor in the Digital Media Department at the Valencia College in Orlando, FL.
